He's Friendly with everyone but doesn't seem to like me?

So I started at a new job and one of the managers (he's around my age) is friends with heaps of the staff but doesn't seem to want to talk to me or become friends with me. I thought maybe it was because I'm new but then after a few months and more new people started he became friendly with them. However, sometimes he'll crack a joke or smile at me but then a few minutes later he's acting stand - offish. I'm friends with a lot of his friends but its like he is too cool or something to get to know me, or at least thats how he is acting. It's confusing and i don't know what to think.

What is confusing you? EVERYONE you encounter in your life isn't going to like you for whatever reason. Besides, this is your boss you are talking about. Why is being "friends" with him even important?

I don’t need everyone in my life to like me and I guess it’s not “important” to be friends with him I just want to know what the problem might be, I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong but if I have done something I’d like to know what it is to fix it.

Do you think it's possible she's attracted to you, and gets a little flustered around you, doesn't know what to say, that sorta thing?

I'm not sure, sometimes i think i catch him looking at me but i could be imagining it

The only other thing I can think of is... are naturally shy/introverted, and maybe he thinks you're a bit difficult to approach or have casual conversation with?

I thought that was the problem but i've been there almost 8 months now and some people he's nice to have only been there for 3

Are you trying to make friends with him? If you are and nothing changes than what else can you do?

yeah i am and sometimes i think he is to but then his attitude just changes, like at my shift tonight we kind of chatted for a little bit and he was laughing but then he left to help a customer and when he came back it es like our conversation didn't even happen, i just don't know what to think

Try not to overthink and just accept things as they are.
