Why do women always think that dudes are afraid of getting rejected when the dudes barely showed any interest. If someone views your story in like 2 hours or less that doesn't mean that the person is interested. They might just be on their phone for whatever reason. I have been keeping busy and going out and continuing to live my life even through the pain. I’m a pretty avid Snapchat poster and if I’m out or doing something interesting I post it on my story. He has been pretty much one of the first people to view my Snapchat stories every single time. I just don’t understand how he rarely initiated chats with me but yet still checks what I post every time so quickly. It is very conflicting for me. I know a lot of you will say if it bothers me to just block him, but I just am trying to make sense of why he still checking on me

Could very well be. I don't know his past, but if he has had too many rejections (worse of any of them were brutal) and barely to no success, he may be having extremely low self esteem. If he thinks he is not good enough, he will not want to even try to make a move to avoid yet another rejection.

Well, is he is afraid of rejection, experience is something he definitely would not have. 😆
There may be other reasons, either instead or aside the fear of rejection. I can't say since I don't know him.
One thing you could do is simply ask him. Privately, of course. Assure him that there is nothing wrong, that you are just curious and not offended or anything of the sort. If he feels like it, maybe he will give you the answer.

With only what you said as info, I would not say that he is interested in that way. He definitely has interest in you or what you do, but I can't see evidence of any interest in a romantic way.
It could be, sure, but so far it does not show.
Pay attention to more potential signals. Or, as I said, talk to him directly. Don't ask him about that is you don't want, just initiate a friendly conversation with him. See how he reacts, how comfortable he is talking to you and about what.

Me and him are not friends or anything so I don't know why he views all of my storiy updates. When we talked in the DM’s he used a lot of emojis, like my messaged ( on Instagram it’s only heart reaction) and he wished me good night. One time we talked for 6 hours on an off. He seemed to like talking to me but he hasn’t reached out to me.

Yes, given the available info. But, first of all, I do not know for sure if that is so. Maybe there is some interest and that's why he enjoys what you do. I can't read his mind, just make an assumption.
Secondly, YOU ARE interested, and of that you are sure.
If you ask him out, maybe that sparks some interest in him. If he is not interested at all, then that's it. You don't know, that is the point.
