Why would a guy in his late 20’s not make a move on a girl he’s interested in?

He’s single for all I know but still won’t pursue me but instead is friendly. I can see in his eyes that he’s attracted to me.

A.) Assuming you don't work together: Imagine you walk into a pastry shop and you see several different cakes but you're really not hungry enough for them to pay what's on the price tags. You look. You look thirsty for them but you ain't going to get one. He's not interested enough to make a move. If he see's a better looking cake.. or a lower price, he might jump on it. Don't take it personally tho, not everyone is compatible.
B.) If you do work together: He's not going to risk you flipping out and going to HR to accuse him of sexual harassment. Yeah, it happens... even if the woman makes the first move it can happen. He values his money more than trying to get you. This will change if he knows you're about to quit tho.

In both cases, your best move is not to focus on him. Find another guy.

I think he’s single. He’s been liking sad quotes etc about waiting/praying for something. It’s weird since he’s handsome and he could get any girl he wants. When he sees me in piblic he’s so extry on how he stares at me…

And it could be if you stopped worrying about him and found another guy to think about.. the other guy will want to get with you. That in itself might motivate the first guy to make a move. Or not. Either way your life keeps moving forward.

I have been living my life. Then all of the sudden he sent me a congratulating message (he saw my story update of something that I’ve achieved and replied to it) he could easily not reply to it since we hadn’t talk long time before that.

If you gave him zero indication that you're interested see my point A. To increase attraction, give him the eyes he's been giving you. Or check him out with your eyes in an obvious way. Outside of that there's nothing for you to do, in my opinion.

Yes but my original posts were on the assumption that you had shown him you're interested in him too. If you haven't done that in an obvious way then you should. Then you'll know for sure.

Probably shy, or think you will reject him. Why not try doing the mirroring technique, look at him when he looks at you play with your hair if he knows about it he will do the same if he fancies you, other ways playing with your earlobe if he copies he fancies you. If he doesn't respond maybe start a conversation about something and Say something like a mate was telling me about mirroring, have you heard of it? if he knows of it he might not fancy you, but if not ask tell him he should look it up its interesting. After a few days see if he starts mirroring your actions if he does he wants you, if not either he hasn't looked it up or doesn't fancy you. You could ask him if he read that technique and what he thought of it.

Plus like it’s been said maybe they’re not interested. Wouldn’t even the first time someone thought simile was interested but they weren’t. That like 34.7% of my high school dating 🤣

He used to find me attractive in the past. We never dated and aren’t even friends. We had some conversations in the instagram DM’s months ago mostly initiated by me. Now he congratulated me by replying to my story when I got a new job.

He seems always react when I post life events….

Since he’s kinda curious about my life and friendly ( he views every single story update of mine) it ) just makes me like him more. I don't know why he bothers to even comgratulate me…

Thanks for the more info, if you’re initiating most of the contact and just said once or twice something like congratulations or something common like that. Sounds like a friend to me not a boyfriend. They’re being nice and showing they interested in you life but I do that to people at work I find to be really annoy simply because it’s polite. Same thing with old school friends and girlfriends from years and years ago especially if they initiate; don’t want to be rude.

I’m one person, I’m not that person only they can tell you what they feel.

Worst case scenario you ask and they say sorry they aren’t interested. Best case you ask and he sweeps you off your feet and you live happily ever after with 2.1 children and a white picket fence.

What I can guarantee is if you don’t ask you’ll never no. Even if the openly day he found you attractive previously which it sounds wasn’t the case possibly. Doesn’t mean he was then or even now wanting a relationship beyond friendship.

Attraction means thy think you’re pretty/beautiful/etc. There are lots of people they’re going to be attracted to but maybe.1% of those people they will try to date. I mean imagine if ever persons dated everybody they found attractive. That’s a lot of polyamorous relationships going on.

So if you’re in love; or want to see if you’re I love, or just want to have a good time this summer. Go to them an ask about their interest.

Doesn’t have to be anything too strong, a simple. Hey, I like you and would like for us to spend some more time together in person.

Doesn’t even have to be a date for first time just a couple of friends hanging out. Maybe even have like 4 or 5 or 6 people at first.

Now maybe you want them to make the first move. I get that, it’s a risk but one that might pay off. In the end you got to decided.

What I will say is don’t be afraid to try, nothing bad wi happen almost guaranteed. Maybe something amazing will happen.

At least either way you’ll know and won’t be confused.

May be he is kind of shy , what if you put the first step , have a good long conversations frequently will help , respect his time also, may be he was quite busy , and if you are attractive though you said he finds you , then don't let your ego destroy the beautiful begginng of your chapter , go ahead lady

When I initiated small comversations with hin he seemed to be engaged in our conversation and seemed to like talk to me. It just diidn't lead into like exchanging numbers etc and to the level. He on the other hakd reached out mostly to congratulate and once to offer condolences. Usually to my life events. Why would a guy do that?

, and hesitate for the initiation , if you are sure he is not in love with someone , then go for him , one possibility is that he may be in love woth someone or something , if not then fill that vacant space
