My guy asked if I’m going through a silly phase?

I’ve previously told him I sometimes just go out somewhere and stay away for hours because I need to be alone. Yesterday I went out for a while but came back in because it started to rain. So later in the evening I mentioned I might head out for a while. My guy calmly said: “are you going through a silly phase again?” He is a little bit of a father figure to me, so I don’t think it was meant as being condescending. But what did he mean?

He is just wondering why your going out to be alone and yes he doesn't mean anything bad by it but wondering why you need to spend time alone, He sounds like he's acting like your his Kid hahaha it's kind of funny

I'm not saying it was deliberate or it was meant, but it's like me, when my g/f does something silly. I'll pat her on the head and go awwww. I don't mean anything by it, but to outsiders it could easily be misconstrued as condescension too.
