I was playing fortnite with my boyfriend and I made us lose at rank #14 and he yelled at me and called me stupid for not "surviving." and called me boring saying I was boring to play with. I think I am being over sensitive but he never yelled at me before so I was in shock when he did and I thought he was gonna pause and realized he yelled but he didn't care. (by the way it was my first time playing fortnite)

He's what we call "toxic." Overly competitive with no filter. He doesn't play to have fun, he plays to win and if he's not winning, he's throwing a tantrum like a 5 year old. Everyone can get frustrated when they're really into a game and it's not going well, but some people handle it a lot worse than others. Toxic players are not uncommon and usually play by their self because other people don't like playing with them, for obvious reasons.

That seems rather excessive. I'm not very familiar with Fortnight, but if he's in some high-intensity ranked mode, why would he bring you in, if you're new? In most multiplayer games, people usually have the most fun with others around their skill level. If it was just a casual match, what's the harm?

Yeah it sounds like he tends to go into a toxic gamer mode whenever he plays. And if he's usually a pretty cool guy I'd just tell him I'm not going to play with him till h gets his temper under control.
