If I put you in a room with 100 random, single, age-appropriate guys, do you think you'd have romantic feelings for all of them? Half of them? 25%? No. You'd likely only have romantic feelings for 3-5 of those guys, if you're like most people. But that means you're romantically rejecting 95-97 guys, and only interested in 3-5. That means it's pretty rare for you to have romantic interest in a guy. Well, that's just as true for guys.

(Single) men also only have romantic feelings for 3-5% of the single, age-appropriate women they meet. But there is one huge difference between men and women, and it's right there in the charts. While women only have romantic feelings for 3-5% of the men they meet, they would like to be "just friends" with about half of the left-over guys, because they're nice, or they're interesting or potentially helpful in some way.

(Single) men do NOT have a "just friends" category, though. While we only feel romantically towards 3-5% of women, we still find about half of them sexually attractive, and want to have sex with them.

This is the land of "friends with benefits", which combines women's desire to be "friends" with guys they don't have romantic feelings for, and men's desire to have sex with women they don't have romantic feelings for.

But make no mistake, friends with benefits is NOT a step on the path to a romantic relationship - it's a completely separate kind of relationship and one that typically takes you even further away from the possibility of a romantic relationship. The point of friends with benefits is to satisfy each other's sexual needs, and to enjoy the pleasure that comes with that - but nothing more. And while a few exceptions exist, for the vast majority, sex is all it will ever be. So if you accept friends with benefits, you have to be honest with yourself that it's not going to grow into a romantic relationship, not even after years of having sex together.

Could it possibly be: reputation? I mean, have you done it a number of times before? One guy gets it, tells another guy so he figures he can get it, too! He tells another guy who figures he can get it to, ad infinitum! What's that word that rhymes with, "before"? (NO! I'm NOT name calling!! I HOPE that's NOT the case! I'm just suggesting that, IF that's what's going on... they've got the wrong idea of you!! They MAY think of you AS a whore! Whores do it for free, prostitutes do it for money.) Most women that do that get paid a lot of money for it! Why should these pay for it if they're getting it for free under the guise of "friends with benefits"? I'm SURE you've got a LOT ore to offer the world than just free sex!! Maybe try shutting them off for a while! If they ARE true friends, they'll still keep coming around and BEING your friends!! If not, then you, pretty much know, it was all about the sex!!
I KNOW what it's like to be used and it hurts like a bitch!!! I lost my virginity to a girl that used me to make another guy jealous and she even admitted it to me!! Being used is one thing; to lose your virginity over it is major drag!!! So, just be careful!! Free sex is fine and great, as long as you don't mind doing it but, it's another story if you're being used to get it!

A lot of guys just want to have sex. The high-status ones can play the field without committing and women will give them sex in hopes of having a relationship. That is a bad strategy. If you are having bad luck with men your own age you are old enough that you could consider men who are a bit older, more mature, and more relationship-minded.
