I'm bi so I'm probably not the best example. My favorite singer is Angelina Jordan as of this year though I normally am not fond of female singing voices as the high pitch resonates unpleasantly with my tinnitus. I don't shower every day though I do most days. I'm diabetic so I can't eat high sugar foods except in small quantities. In high school they called me gay because I sat at a table with five girls and no guys. I was ridiculed for it at lunch. I knew the guys were jealous. My retort was always "don't you like girls?"

As a kid I was never into sports but was really into nature/wildlife and sci-fi, fantasy. I was bullied for being gay since I did not care about THE GAME. So stupid. So “real men” like sports? I’m not attracted to guys; yet those jocks were never bothered for doing homoerotic horseplay in the locker room.

I know plenty of manly men who can appreciate a womans art of music. They don't think art made by women is gay to be appreciated, but art made for women.
Same reason women think art made for men is inherently sexist, even if it's just mostly appreciated by men instead of aiming at them as primary audience.
Some men claim any amount of vanity is gay to curb their betters at sexual competition, and it works when it comes to female impression as the accusation of homosexuality works the same way as the accusation of sluttyness/player/dog/etc when it comes to men.
I had a few classmates who listened exclusively female pop artists and everyone though it was "a bit gay" and later we found out they were gay. There is truth behind all stereotypes. But it's usually just joking when people say stuff like that, nothing to be offended by.
