Met a guy via tinder, seems to like me. He lives 45 min away, so he took the train to my town for the first date last week. We met each other for coffee and took a walk at the park.
We talked normally and he was on me all the time in public when we sat on the bench.. He kissed me 3 times on the cheek, complimented and held around his waist with his arms like a hug.
He texted me after the date and wanted me to see him at his town for a walk and then to surprise me with pick up food at his place. I told him I don't want sex and he said he did not mean it and got sad I felt he just wanted to have sex. He just wanted to surprise me with pick up food, but said okay sure we can meet outside then. He says sex is not important to him and he respects me.
He wants me to take the train on Saturday to his town. He texts me all the time, we have talked lots on the phone.
Should I take the train to his town to meet outside or not? What do you guys think?

Yes meet outside until when or if you feel comfortable visiting his place or vice versa.

Don't feel under any pressure on this, he should respect your wishes if he likes you.

I thought it weird that he was trying to get you to go to his place so soon, but I don't want to be unfair to him, maybe he was genuine.

Yeah somewhere public, with lots of people around and cafes/restaurants etc, like a zoo or shopping mall etc. Maybe have somebody collecting you at a set time, so he knows sex is not on the table.
