I was joking with him about how he’s old I believe lol because he’s 24 and I wasn’t and he told me “I wish you were” he turned his back to leave then I asked him if he meant it and he said “I wish you could share my hardships of being 24” he said if kind of laughing so I think he was kidding but just wanted to make sure. I’m about to be 20 by the way on August 3 so me and him are 4 years apart. It kind of has made me insecure when people say that he’s too old for me people like my mom and his sister. I know that I’m extremely shy but I hope that I’m not childish I don’t think so I’m very playful with him though only him though.

Maybe he was just having a rough day so his joke seemed off. When I'm with my date something off may be said, but I don't think much of it. People say things that are off unintentionally but I focus on the big picture & all the good they do and are and the odd things fade.

4 years difference is nothing to worry about. My parents were 9 years apart. My wife and I are 5 1/2 years apart. I think he was just kidding with you. I wouldn't think too much about it. You're a great person and he is lucky to be with you.
