Guy asks to hang out but has no plans at all?

So this dude would ask me to hang out on weekends. He asks ahead of time , but the way he asks is : are you gonna do anything next sat? We can do something like hiking , Is there any thing in your mind?

Every time I asked him if he has anything in mind , he never does and it’s always me making plan about where to go , how to get there , what to eat, etc. I m so tired of always making plans

why does he do that?

There are one of two reasons he is acting like this:


1) he doesn’t put the effort in cos he isn’t that interested.


2) he is interested but is afraid to take initiative because he doesn’t want to mess things up.


If I were you I would be honest and tell him that you are tired of making the decisions and see how he reacts. If he steps up his game then you know. Otherwise I’d just leave him.

He wants to spend time with you.


Easy fix - when he asks you to hang out. Ask him what he has in mind. When he says he hasn't got anything. Then ask him to get back to you when he has. Put the onus on him to come up with something.
