Guy friend won’t hang out unless hanging alone?

I have a good guy friend who has been friends with me for 4/5 years. He just moved to my city and he suddenly started to hit on me asking me ‘do you want hold hands, etc’. He hasn’t confessed feelings or anything but he is trying to be physically close to me. I cherish him very much as friend but I m not romantically interested. He also have another good friend here we have a group. Every time he ask me to hang out alone (date or not I don't know) I ask in group if guys wanna hang out together.

he is a little pissed and won’t reply in the group any more. What can I do? Should I talk to him or wait till he says something?

No, just leave him alone to himself. It's clear that he doesn't want to be just friends so your friendship will probably end. If he becomes distant let it be. Need to understand you can't force friendship just like you can't force a relationship. You both have a right to decline each other.

Yeah you are right. Sadly it’s a friendship of 4/5 years. I wished I could have done something but there is prolly nothing I can do

Sorry, sucks but friendship isn't enough sometimes. Also, some people don't value friendship (myself included). Shift focus on the people who reciprocate.

Good question actually. I don’t want to lead him on. He stills asks me to hang alone. But I have no reason to maintain the friendship if he needs time and space to move on

There's no reason to stay 'friends' when you know he wants more. Poor guy, I'm sure he'll recover.

You need to tell him you're not romantically interested in him. If he can't handle that, it's not your problem. This isn't a big deal.
