Because it's harder for men to find intimacy than women. Because sex without emotion is empty and they may as well be fucking a sex doll. It really depends on the man. Sometimes it's to keep you around for more sex. Sometimes it's to satisfy a desire to love and be loved.

Romantic love? Generally yes, but that's on the terms of each individual, you have 0 obligation to put out and neither do they. If you want to wait a while or even for marriage that's your choice. It may make dating harder though, but not rushing to sex will help filter out people who are just in it for sex..

Love without intimacy is platonic love, it's an entirely different thing.
