Lol well you could always try just a regular conversation first like without the hug then try that at a later time. Because if you can’t talk to him then you can’t expect your only communication to be a hug then moving on.

Last time we hugged he initiated but yeah we are friends. I just I don't know why i want to touch him. Tbh my feelings for him grew so much lately and im sooo nervous around him i get pins on my face and feel all red. It’s funny you say that bc I was going to suggest that he could be in a relationship but I didn’t want to jump to that assumption lol, well that makes a bit more sense. He’s probably trying to respect his girlfriend and not be hugging you often. Also, since you guys are friends then it shouldn’t be too hard to initiate a conversation. It seems like there’s more for you behind hugging him than just to be friendly, which would make it even better not to do that. I mean you’ve got to respect his relationship as well and not entertain having a crush on him..

Yep... he's been hitting on me for over a year now. I even asked him a long time ago what his girlfriend would do if she heard what he said one time

Yeah, I mean you didn’t develop your crush overnight so it won’t go away overnight, but if you actively work to move past it (or find someone else to put your attention on) then it will pass. Yeah i guess it means next to nothing to him to hug even though it may seem contradictory that he would seek out a hug from me and hit on me constantly. He may just be a person who isn't very deep and things he does dont mean much at all to him.

Giving you a hug could be a generic thing, or if he was being flirty it could be that too. My point is that it’s better not to explore that road, though. Like thinking it was flirty, that would only make you hopeful, make you want more hugs, more attention, feeding into the crush you have, etc, you get what I mean? It’s just better not to gas those things up in your mind and let it be a simple friendly thing. Making it mean any more will only create an issue. Besides, you don’t want to be the girl hugging on someone’s guy, anyway.
