On principle, I agree with him.

I disagree with his execution though. Because if he's this serious about it, then don't date co-workers, period.

That said, don't discount/disregard his concerns, if they are the type to do it, they will give him shit about it, stressing him out.

But you can challenge them with logic. Unless you two are in sales and performing above-average, the damage is already done.

They have the leverage they need if you're correct and they "know" already.

if dating co-workers is addressed in the employee handbook and they is an active policy against it, they have leverage to justify not giving a raise, termination, etc.
