Why would this guy suddenly block me?

We’ve been talking for over a week now. We have great conversations, have tons in common, etc. Last night he texted me and told me his phone was dying and he would text me when he got home. But before that he asked me what I was doing and told me I have beautiful eyes. I answered him that I was having a couple drinks at home and told him he’s amazing and said thank you for the compliment. I have no idea what went wrong between 10 pm last night and now. I don’t understand what I possibly could have done wrong! Please help.
