Why would a guy text me constantly and ask to meet up- but talk about other girls?

We are friends for a while. I’m always in a relationship. But he’s never had a girlfriend. I’m 28 he’s 22. But he text me daily. Always asking to see me. But will also tell me he saw pretty girls at school. And shows me pics of girls.

Yeah. Well I won’t be single anytime soon. I’m about to be married haha. But yeah we’ve been close for years now. He deff had a crush at one point. But maybe not anymore. But he’s definitely wanting to be around me and talk nonstop. Like I get text basically daily. Lol. He’s never had a girlfriend and I’m sure he’s ready to have one. And should get one! Well I try to not take that seriously because he likes to pick around. And I justify it because he can’t want me because he obviously wants other girls

My two verdicts:

1- I am like a sister to him. He’s lonely so he flirts with me and truly just enjoys my company since we’re compatible personality wise.

2- He secretly likes me romantically but he knows it won’t happen so he tries to date and put me in the friendzone.

I would say number one is out of the question, it's kind of fucked up to think that somebody would be trying to flirt with a sister figure
