He wants you to show some sign of jealousy. In his mind, that would be an indication that you like him. Since you are NOT the jealous type, his actions may be futile.
Since you labelled him as your "crush", maybe he is not aware of your affinity for him.
It's definitely to make you jealous, maybe he does realise you're not the jealous type, but I think it's to provoke a response from you. It looks like he likes you as well then.
