So here's my question... what would do if you were me? Should I call him out?

So long story... short kinda
Talked to a guy I went to high school with
For 2 years while he was in prison. He was in for 10 years. He got out last year on parole. He emailed me a couple times before he got out. But I didn't have stamps so I figured he would contact me when he got out. NOPE! I tried friended him on Facebook and even sent him a message saying hey man how are you? Hope all is well. didn't hear anything back. Then I guess he made a new account cause I saw it in the "People you may know". We have a mutual friend my cousin. Funny thing is he sent her a friend request... she accepted. I meassage her. She said she didn't know him and sorry that all this happened. I thought about sending him a message saying thanks for using me. But its messed up to call and write someone everyday then once you get out you ghost them even when you say you wouldn't. I'm having conflicting feelings and thoughts. Someone help me here... what should I do?

Nothing that you do now will undo what has happened. Best course is to learn a lesson from the experience and to move forward with your life.

I did send him $20 here and there. And I took time out to go visit him 3 times. I thought we were good friends so I wanted to help him out. I wasn't like hey when you get out let's be together. I gave him time and space to figure out life. Cause 10years in prison that's a lot of time away from family. But I was like dang I thought by now he would be like hey how are you? Thanks for being there for me. For being a decent human being. I don't know

You're going to have to take you L on this one. You're just experiencing what millions of guys go through everyday. Just let it go and move on.
