Jealous/territorial behavior when involved in what’s supposed to be “casual”-sign of deeper feelings or just about control?

It's definitely not something that means something deeper. It can absolutely be completely a territorial thing. That's not to say that it DOESN'T mean he feels/wants something deeper. It just would be a mistake to read it as in any way indicating (ON IT'S OWN) deeper feelings.

It's just not something that tells you anything without context. If the guy has done other things to indicate that his feelings might run deeper, than sure, in that context it's more likely. Just don't read anything into it without putting in context. If the dude's been super-clear about wanting it to be casual--DO believe him.

Both. Someone won’t get jealous over someone they don’t genuinely like, but it can be a sign of control issues.
