Guy friend farted loudly in front of me. Is it safe to say he's not interested?

Well... I would generally say "yes that might mean he's not interested". I don't generally make a habit of farting loudly around the girls I'm not interested in either... but then again... some guys... are... not me.

So, I'm having trouble thinking that this is the "highest caliber" of guy... because most guys I know are unlikely to act this way around any girl. So it depends on what kind of guy he is.

Since he is apparently the type to fart loundly around girls he doesn't know all that well... then I would say the same dummy might very well think it's just fine to fart loudly in front of a girl he WAS interested in.

You see what I'm saying here:
-A guy who wouldn't fart in front of a girl he is interested in ALSO wouldn't fart in front of a girl he is not interested in.

-A guy who WOULD fart in front of a girl he ISN'T interested in... is 'a certain type of guy'. Who am I to say that this same gross guy wouldn't also think it's fine to fart in front of a girl he is interested in. That guy's clearly fucked.

So... It depends on the guy.

But... regardless of what his intentions were... regardless of whether he is interested in you or not... are you quite sure this is the guy YOU WANT to be interested in you? I mean who does that? Some gross-ass pig of a guy. I think that's really the conclusion to draw from him farting loudly in front of you twice.

It could go either way it could be he just has very very bad manners or it could be a few accidentally slipped out.
On the other hand he could be so low class that he thinks it's funny the walk by and s*** on someone.

I farted loudly more times than I can count when my current boyfriend was just a friend. Some people are just gassy.
