How can I improve my confidence in life? I don't understand why I have less self esteem?

I don't know man - I always was a confident dude even when I wasn't supposed to be - 5 years ago I was a scrawny poor kid who was more arrogant than the person you would deem as the most arrogant person you know - Well I'm still like that I'm just "lean" as they like to call it - same size I just have the look of muscles - also more money - I don't know why I just gave you my life story - What I'm trying to say is that it's within you - For me - It was always me being the underdog and the "faking it till you make it" mindset as unhealthy as some people might say it pushed me a lot out of my comfort zone constantly - Also being playful about life - By that I mean instead of worrying about consequences just ask yourself "What would happen if I did this?" which leads you to doing it out of curiosity instead of thinking about what could happen..

Try volunteer work that means you talk and interact with strangers.

things that involve talking to groups of people also help.

take it slow though, don’t drop into deep end.

Having the confidence to chat to people will help with part of it.

the other is setting gradually more difficult personal challenges.

Improve yourself in things that build you as a person. (Working out, appreciating your appearance a little more, self care, taking time off for yourself, buying some new outfits, joining a club/sport/ stuff that contributes to yourself) the more involved you are with yourself, the more confidence you will have a person. You simply can’t become more confident without change to yourself

First of all it is called self-esteem not other people's esteem. This means it has to come from within yourself. Try reading books or article's on the internet to get a more professional opinion. If you read a lot about self-esteem you will have more ideas about it. You'll get there, one book at a time. 🙂

Do brand knew things that challenge you. Things that are difficult. When you accomplish them you make yourself proud which naturally boosts your confidence.

Try and read up do something meaningful like volunteering
