I want to go up to him but I'm afraid to say something dumb. What's are good ways that a girl starts up a conversation with you? We don't talk but we are always looking at each other. I don't make it obvious that I'm looking at him but he literally watched me drive away. I sent him a follow request on Instagram last week and he never accepted or declined and after two days I just canceled the request. He liked me twice on two different dating apps but won't let me follow him. Unless he wants me to talk to him first in person. Could that be the reason why?

Guys don't want to feel the hurt of rejection. If she doesn't feel the same way. The guys who can just roam around and pick up women. Found some way to disassociate themselves from the feeling of rejection.

If a guy really likes a girl. Not just wanting to get laid. But wants a relationship. Then it's an even bigger vulnerability and hurts more when rejected.

Just smile at him when he looks at you. Maybe brush your hair back with your hand. Then keep looking back over at him. Whenever he notices you smile look away then meekly look back again. Unless his head is full of rocks. That should give him enough of a hint to come over and talk to you.

If he is with friends. Let his friends notice you looking at him. Because they'll point it out to him and cajole him to talk to you.

On a more serious note. It's pretty easy to tell if someone is really smiling with a mask on. As their eyes will smile. So, learn how to make your eyes smile. When you make yourself smile.
