It’s a good sign that what you want to look like is how he likes it…as long as it doesn’t go too far. Don’t lose your identity for him and don’t rely on him to make you feel confident. That said, he’s right! Your long hair looks gorgeous! I don’t think he’ll care that it’s fake. However, everyone knows when somethings fake, that means that the closer you get to him the more he’ll see how things really are (as in makeup, husbands see their wives without it). This isn’t a bad thing, but you can game it so he sees you in your “less confident moments” after you’ve had some real connections. He’s not dumb, he knows that you can’t look like that all the time because the hair isn’t real. And he obviously likes you plenty whatever you look like. The unspoken rule for girlfriends is “acting sexy is better than looking sexy”. If you feel good and you make him feel good, your hair length won’t matter at all! But what he’s saying is “oh man you should wear that more often” not “you don’t look good without it”
A deal-breaker for who. There is no way in this world never ever ever is he going to let you go you are absolutely beautiful it's not the length of your hair that makes you beautiful it's the person inside of you that makes you beautiful and I hope he understands that and I also hope that he understands the outside of you is just an added bonus you can see in your eyes the true beauty is on the inside he is one big fool he even says one word about it
They definitely prefer girls natural, in all aspects. They think extensions, false lashes, push-up bras, nose jobs, extreme makeup... it's all "a lie." They feel "duped." (You can ignore those ideas though, if you want. Cause they also like some amount of effort, and pretty, and they sometimes don't know where the line is.)
Guys prefer hair down. Just saw a poll here on that recently and it was a landslide for 'down.' You should tell him or show him you have a bob. But also wear your hair with extensions and whatever other ways you like to wear it. He'll probably like the 'fake' but long, and down, even if it's not 'natural.'
He prefers it down he didn't say he liked it long, and either way you dont need fake hair you're good looking in your own right.. And he ought to think himself lucky to be dating you.
Meaning. We all got preferences. But if he forces his preferences on you or treats you badly over his preferences show em the door. If he cool with you not always meeting his preferences sounds like a keeper.

Usually in a bun. It all just depends how I'm feelin. But 90% I'm wearing it natural. I sweat too much to be spending money all the time. So people can like me how I am or keep it moving. I'm not really sweatin them.
Like you said our hair isn't celebrated so they are taught to love that style. Tbh, myself. I love our hair. It looks more beautiful. It has more strength and can defy gravity. Not as much fun to do, but it is beautiful naturally.
Generally, our preference is just that, and not necessarily a "deal breaker" (unlike for many women). But, hair extensions is a bit different in that he's already seen you one way, and now it'll change your entire look. I definitely wouldn't leave it too long before telling/showing him your natural hair. Maybe start by telling him you were wearing them in the picture, and then he'll probably ask to see your natural hair, then you can send him another pic. But don't worry about it either. If he's into you at all, it won't be a deal breaker I don't think.

And just seen your comment on profile pic, that's not a drastic difference, I wouldn't worry. I was thinking it was short short.

I've always said it's a bad idea to initially present yourself in anything other than your "natural state", and your dilemma is precisely why. Had he seen your first without the extensions and liked it, telling him "I often like wear extensions too" would have been easy, and you'd have received the same result.
So at this point, you want to know if it's a "deal breaker"? How would WE know? All we can do is guess. Ask the guy you're dating if it is. If he thinks you tried to deceive him, it might be. If he doesn't find you attractive with short hair, it could be. But if it IS a deal breaker for either of those reasons, I'd consider myself lucky for finding out now. Since you didn't intentionally deceive him, a guy who dumps a girl for no other reason but her hair is shorter than his "preference", isn't worth keeping around.
I have short hair and used to have long hair but my boyfriend said he prefers my hair long but I stubborn so I cut my hair to pissed him if and if he said that again I would shave my head and wear wig😂
Just tell him the truth - that your hair is short and you were wearing extensions. But tell him that you'll grow it out if he likes it that way. If he's super shallow, he'll be upset and/or will break up with you - and while that might suck, it's better you find out now. If he's a decent guy, then he's actually going to appreciate that you're willing to grow your hair out for him, and he'll be excited to see it grow over time - it's a little thing that will bring you closer.

Men almost universally prefer women with long hair. For tens of thousands of years, long hair was a sign of good health and nutrition and youth - all things that evolution ensured men found attractive, because they are all associated with fertility. I'm talking about the ABILITY to grow long hair - if your heath or nutrition was poor - as it sometimes was for people outside the ruling class throughout history, or if you were past a certain age, then your ability to grow healthy long hair was diminished.
All of men's common beauty standards for women are tied to fertility, just as women's are tied to security and their offspring - which traits does she want her children to have plays a big role in which man she chooses to be with.
If you want the majority of men to find you attractive, then you have to take into consideration what the majority of men want. If you don't mind being single, or you are okay having much more limited choices, then you can do whatever you want. Men face exactly the same decision.
Many guys today don't care so much if you're fertile (many certainly do, though!), but that's irrelevant. Our mechanisms of attraction are based on our instincts, and instincts, according to science, take about 1,000 generations to see significant changes. With humans, that's roughly 15,000-20,000 years - so whatever worked best for men for the last, let's say 10,000 years, is what our instincts are based on.
As I said, it's the same reason women's instincts to choose strong, confident, attractive men to have children with exists - that was women's best strategy for having the best children over the last 10,000 years.
But don't despair - you can grow your hair. Yes, it will take some time, but it's not like it's something that can't be corrected (and you can wear extensions in the meantime). There's a lot of things you could have done that men would have disliked much more than cutting your hair (things many girls actually do), that you CAN'T undo. This is a minor speedbump.
I prefer original, natural equipment, but will respect a woman's right too use cosmetics to alter their looks. You should wear your hair the way you are comfortable with and not worry too much about what he thinks. He will get over it or not. That's not your problem to worry about. He should accept you as you prefer to 🐝, not the way he prefers you too try to 🐝.
You’re gorgeous regardless of hair length, texture, or style.. I would be honest. If he truly likes you, he will appreciate your honesty and still like you for however you look.
No it shouldn’t matter but I’ve had this issue once! I like wearing weave and extensions. My natural hair which is picture mostly all my ex’s love it natural but I like switching! Do what you want!
It does matter to all guys when it comes to appearance, and if you have short hair wear your short hair especially if it’s natural most men prefer a natural woman, there are some who like women with like make up but not a everyday thing, all men will love you more when you be you, because if you only where make up and extension when you only see him
No I don't care if she wears hair extensions and I don't think he would care if your hair is short I think he was giving you a compliment. Some girls do look better with long hair either if it fake or natural but us guys don't care that much as long it looks good on you.
Ask him if it is a deal breaker for him that you have shorter hair. He will probably say no. If he says yes then you will not be wasting your time if he dumps you.
I think you should love you for you and if he says he likes her hair long me being a rebel I would cut my hair short and plus my hair it grows fast but I love it short
If he's not interested just because of the hair length, then he was the wrong one to begin with. You can have a preference, but it shouldn't be a deal breaker. You should be honest about it
A guy can tell you what he likes. But this seems different because it's not your natural hair. So in that case it's a red flag that he doesn't like the real you
More thank likely it's just his opinion. It's always better to be honest than waste a bunch of time on a lie ( for lack of a better term). I would send him a pick of your natural hair.
