Some of us lie and will sell you the dream that we’re going to choose you but in reality if I’m hitting you up once a week for sex I’m not going to be with you for the long run. That's my interpretation, but he may also be trying to say he is willing to take the relationship as far as it will go, but he isn't sure how far that is. If someone said that to me I'd ask them to explain what exactly they mean to them.
