Why do a lot of guys get upset if they lose to a girl?

Not all the time obviously but god it’s funny how annoyed some get if they do lol. Like dude deep breath it’s ok it’s ok it’s just a game. We’re just having fun 😆

Are you sure they're mad BECAUSE they lost to a girl? Or is it because people generally hate losing and being taunted for losing?

Back in middle school, I recall one girl (a friend) beating me in a Pokemon battle, and the guys around me taunted me for losing to a girl. It did make me a little salty... but not because I lost to her, it was because I was being taunted!

Why would I be mad at her for winning? Most guys love to see girls getting involved in their hobbies. And I'm not entirely convinced the guys who make fun of other guys for losing to girls necessarily believe losing to a girl is shameful. I believe they do it simply to get a rise out of both sides. Otherwise, me losing to a girl would have made ALL the guys angry. Lol.

Guys are the same if they lose to another guy.

Also girls are the same losing to other girls.

it comes down to if the person is competitive or not and how much they are.

My ex would not quit until she won or at least won 2 out of 3.

Some things she would hammer me at.

both her and my ex wife have motor racing competition licences and hammer me on the track, I’m good just they are better.

The worst thing are

Those who gloat
Those who are sore losers
and those who can easily win but don’t give the other person a chance and rub their nose in it.

I have experienced many guys (especially younger guys) who have got upset when they have lost sparring matches to me in kickboxing class 🥊 many guys don’t like losing to girls because it emasculates them 🙄 unless they actually come to respect a girl’s technical abilities and skills etc.

That is because some men think women are weaker. Some are unconscious of it but it's there and it comes out it subtle ways. Then there are other men that are simply not good losers regardless of gender.

No idea. I don't like to lose, but I don't like it any more or less if it's a woman or a man. But that is definitely a thing with some guys.

30 years ago, I had a female friend who was a gamer, and I had to talk her into giving my buddy, who really liked her, a chance - she "didn't like him" when she first met him. They've been married for 28 or so years now... LOL. But before that, she used to play online games on my BBS system (online computers pre-dating the Internet), and then later with early online games like Doom, Duke Nukem, Heretic, and Hexen. She would always use a masculine screen name, and would win a lot, and THEN she'd reveal that she was a girl, and some guys would just lose their mind. It was hilarious.

Because we learn from early that girls are worse in sports. We learn in school sports that girls have to do the less for the same results.
So we feel like failure if they beat us in something.
The difference we don't do sports to have fun but to gain self confident from achieving something.

A lot of a guys ego is wrapped up in winning all the time and losing to a girl threatens that ego big time lol

idc personally. Im generally awesome at games but obviously i can't be good at everything. My niece for example kicks my ass at Mario Kart 8 lol. She knows all the tracks by heart and I haven’t practiced much so i dont take it personally. Its still fun lol

It depends on what topic the man is losing. There are issues that biologically the man is supposed to be better in general such as: physical strength, fighting sports etc... so in most cases the man wins. So it frustrates him if he loses. There are issues that women are better at and I guess it will be much less frustrating. There are always exceptions but this does not teach the rule.
