You know a guy who will take control, very masculine and confident. I feel that is frown upon nowadays but I just love this. I’m I wrong for feeling this way?

What should make you smile is ANY guy who can take control and ACT. Don't be attracted to what greats a Guy can do based on their muscle build and self-esteem. ANY Guy who can take control and is confident is on the same "great" level. Masculinity is just a physical outer appearance being indirectly judged by. So to answer your question, you are old-fashioned in your thinking. In this day and age, Masculinity and big shot "take control" Guys are traits a lot of Women are attracted to, and after a period of time they lose interest in it. Then the next Guy comes along, they see the traits and the pattern continues.

Look we like what we like but it is important to keep an open mind and not get to a point of not being open to other types. What other people think is irrelevant when it comes to your love life up to a point. It would be like smoking for example. Doctors would even participate in commercials advertising them. Eventually it became evident how unhealthy they were for you. So I guess do you but if you notice it becoming unhealthy for you or the risk of it becoming unhealthy out weighs the reward you receive now it may be time to try something new. Something that gives you similar results without the higher risk.

For example when required you can dial it up to 11 and when situation needs it down to 5.

That is the control aspect of being confident in your own masculinity, you can move that dial.
