Why men ghost and not communicate?

Why do men or friends with benefits all of sudden cease communication. They go from being active involved and communication to nothing at all then pop back up like its all good?

Because "most" men approach relationships with complete self-interest in mind. They view you as a new toy/conquest. When they get bored with you, they put you down, pick up the next, best thing, and then they keep repeating this cycle until they lose their looks (i. e, they begin going bald is one example). Then, they start looking for strictly wifey material. You can save yourself some grief by asking men you date from the start about their ex girlfriends. If they can't remember them, have a lot of them, or have mostly bad things to say about them, you shoud run.

There are multiple reasons I think that could lead to it.

He could simply just lose interest or is not that much into you or maybe he met another woman. It could also be that he is a player so he is playing the hot and cold game, thinking you'll chase him and get desperate for him.

he does have a girlfriend, for 28 years he has been with me off and on,. yes its definitley hot and cold, I got another relationship and feel sad about allowing him to be back in my life off and on, I would like to pursue things bit he never tried to get relationship with me, he sex me as if I am his woman doesn't feel just like sex passion is in it then he just all sudden ghost then come back

They lost interest, which I guess comes with time if nothing specific is happening. And yea, also they could met someone else so lost interest with previous person.

Maybe he gets bored with her so he is reaching for you. And he cares he would break with that girl and be with you. But trust me, if he is doing this to her he would do same to you. Just move on and leave that behind you.

I appreciate your honesty and opinion. very helpful and I know its all true deep inside, I just care and have feelings and its hurts, in time It will go away, I just would appreciate a true explanation from him, thats so wrong to just ignore a person that has been there for u at all costs, when his parents died and just for anything all these years you think if I was that special he respond and tell me the truth. He lies about having a new kid why lie if im just someone on the side, why say u have love and feelings for me then do this, ask me for pictures and videos says im sexually better, texts me good morning beautiful etc but then out blue vanish then pop backs up like its all good and normal, the sex is passion not just a normal sex, guess im just an occasional piece of pie.. ;(

Biggest reason of that pain is that you are opening doors from past, you are remembering of that good things and asking yourself what happened, one day we are only on the world and in other we are strangers. Unfortunately that is our nature, we don't appreciate things when we have them beside us but when we lose them we come to our mind, but is is always late.
Also by reaching our for his good/nice actions towards you, you are looking explanations for him and excuses, and you need to stop with that because you are getting hurt the most.
Just go with me on this, he have someone and you are "just" some girl from side and you are alone in this overthinking... Shake up, you are still young, saying looking good just go out meet someone and leave this shit behind.

He has a girl , we dated in high school and always been friends for 28 years, we both have someone else but their are feels and emotions involved on my end, he says he care and have love for me, go from daily messages and calls to nothing at all, then pop ack up with excuses he busy etc, bs. promise to do something special for me but it never happens. I wonder if he truly haVE FEELINGS AND GHOST TO AVOID THEM, OR i'M JUST BEING USED FOR WHEN ITS SEXUALLY CONVIENT FOR HIM, JUST RUDE TO PLAY WITH A PERSON HEART and ignore my calls and texts but he has time for friends and his girl, He also lied about having a baby, then said well he was gonna talk to me about it why lie, and why he never came to get me for a true committment just always sex but says its not just that then he all sudden ghost then come back

Men are taught not to deal with their feelings in a way thats healthy. Most of my friends shake it off and come at it with a new mindset the next day or even a few days. Think of it as a healing process its cruel but its what we know.

Because they're "friends with benefits". Guys are putting more emphasis on the "benefits" than you. The "benefits" is the only thing that makes the "friends" part worth having generally.
