Why did he sing to me on our video call?

I thought it was just a friendly call that we were on since he's in a different country. But he started singing a song that goes like " how did god create you this beautiful" and sort of looking at my face with a dreaming sort of face. There's no way we could get together since our lives are going in different directions. But he flirts with me on text too.
