Is this a red flag?

A guy i've matched on CMB sent "bb i've eaten :D" to me which i happened to see in my message preview. I assumed the message wasn't meant for me since he deleted it within seconds and we are definitely not at the stage where we'll call each other "baby". We have our first meetup scheduled next week and i'm skeptical if i should still continue meeting him after this since i'm pretty sure people don't call random people "baby"?

It depends what you mean with red flag. He deleted it within seconds, which means: it was for someone else, or, he realized it was not appropriate and repaired it. Either way he fixed it already.
Also, it's just "baby", he might say it to random people but that doesn't mean a red flag, why? It just means he could be an extroverted guy with easy flirt who tends to feel comfortable as fast as he can, with a woman. It might be "not your type", at most, but not a red flag.
The other thing could be that he is flirting with other girls, but this is... Normal? You're not at that stage as you say, so don't expect exclusivity at all. You'll meet each other just to know you better, not to start a love story... This is something you decide after meeting. Take it like a job interview to know each other: many candidates on both parties (company has lot of candidates / candidate applies to lot of companies). Both will end up with a match at some point. Most of people chat with multiple potential dates in parallel while being still officially single, it's just how it is. So you should also do the same and probably he expects you are talking with someone else, too.
So in conclusion I personally can't see anything remarkably wrong in this thing...
