so it was 11:00 made my boyfriend and his daughter breakfast I was not in the mood for breakfast so decided to have a packed a crispy he shouted at me I said I was acting like a child for eat crisps for breakfast in front of his daughter I felt humiliated And was apologise in all day but was I in the wrong

His reaction is out of proportion. Your action is perhaps not ideal but ultimately kids are used to the "because grown up" excuse. There are ways you can explain why you get something the kid wants and can't have.

There is also a reason most parents hide the candy in the car, or wait with it until kids have gone to bed.

Poorly handled from both. Mostly him, he was outright disrespectful and you were only thoughtless.

Both? He shouldn't shout, you should be careful what you do in front of the kid. Mostly if there is a kid around you two should seriously talk about the does and don'ts when it comes to the child so that there would be less confusions.
