To be a gentleman or not to be a gentleman? Why do girls like guys that treat them like he's doing them a favor by being with them?

I was raised by a household of women my father left when I was a young boy never really knew him. My point to that is I learned to have manners and respect towards women starting at a very young age. In my teens I read a lot of literature Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Frost etc. All that being said I am a true gentleman to a lady from my past from the education I gained by reading those great literature works.
Here's my question,
Why do I see so many beautiful and bright young women allow themselves to be treated like a subpar humanoid from someone I view as a subpar humanoid. Basically why do girls like guys that treat them like he's doing them a favor by being with them?

A friend and I were discussing this the other day. She feels that it's something that's she's always had around since we were kids. Our parents weren't great we kind of had free range but we also has asshole parents my mother was my bully and her dad was her bully. She said she thinks it's something she deserves bi disagree. I think it's just something we are use to. At the moment in doing me, hopefully I find my gentleman soon lol

So preferably you would be with a gentleman, you just believe that being treated badly is normal bc of your past?
Being a gentleman, for the record also involves, standing up for what's right when witnessing something cruel or demeaning. I have had a handful of fist to cuffs bc of my gentleman character.

I think it comes from upbringing. You can relate to this growing up without a father. Without a strong male role model you're missing a model of masculinity. So either your mom stepped up and did double duty or you found an alternate male role model.
A woman is taught by her father to respect and value herself. Her father is the first role model of what a man is. If that's missing she is more likely to not learn it. To make matters worse if her mother has had a fractured history with men. That becomes her first view of womanhood. In short it's an unfortunate deal all around.
So basically it's learned behaviour.

Men and women are not equal. In terms of masculine qualities... leadership bravery entrepreneurship strength principles morality... women are inferior. (Women excel at feminine qualities.) Women know this. They only respect men who they know also know this and aren't afraid to say it. They attempt to trick weak men by disagreeing and feminism. However the men who do not take that crap pass the womans test. Women love men who pass the test.

I find it really sweet and hot at the same time when I meet a gentleman that knows how to treat women and treats me well. Some guys go for bad guys as they think it's how normally men treats women and that's how women should be treated. It comes from the kind of things they saw or experienced in their childhood. Where men in their family or in their neighbourhood treated them like crap. So, they think bad guys treated their women like they're doing a favour by being with them is totally normal.

Because they haven’t learnt what they “truly” need and want from a “long term” partner as yet!


Because they are immature in dating and relationships, and think that looks, bad boys etc. is the typical relationship they should go for and want, over what a true long-term, loving relationship is built on and can really make them happy.


It’s what they see, hear, are told they should do. So they follow the trends.


They haven’t given the nice guys a chance so they don’t know that being treated well is what lasting relationships are based on. Is what husband material feels like.


With age, things change. Minds open. Eyes get wider. All that they thought was important isn’t so important anymore. The things that truly are important come to light and they finally choose the right partners.


But it all takes time.

Interesting study, however I believe you missed the point. When dating women, non-committal type relationship, I could open doors and pull out her chair at dinner, have a generally good encounter. Those little gestures are traits of being a gentleman. Here's my point, I normally wait eight days to contact them again, and if she responds before my eight days are over, I'll respond only after waiting a couple to three hours.
This is what the research in the article is suggesting. And in my experience it's true, even if I find a woman highly attractive, I always have that waiting period to leave them guessing if I like them enough to move ahead for another date. Because yes a woman who doesn't know if a man she's interested in likes her or not she will do everything to make him like him I have had crazy, freaky sex by using that approach.

Hey, one thing that gets my attention as a dude, talking to them, listening to their opinions and NOT blindly agreeing so they like you, if he puts his arm around you don’t be shy to play along, and be brave enough to joke around with them, you’ll find that helps men get less tense :)

If you grew up without a father figure that means you don't know what it is like to be a man, and the values you must have.

Go workout, do heavy lifts, build a masculine physique and find yourself a purpose in life and follow that.

Don't give value to women or try to 'protect' them. Just stay on your own path. Build a solid frame, women will come to you.

Because Chad Thundercock doesn't have to be a gentleman for women to fall over backwards with their legs in the air. A gentleman is useful after she has been run through more times than a yellow light and now needs someone to pay for it all.
