Contrary to what most women think. Straight men don’t seek out friendships with women unless there is some sort of connection. In high school nearly all of my friends were girls. Now at 31, I have no female friends, only acquaintances.
Unless your friend is gay or is actively dating a lot of other women he probably likes you. There could be any number of reasons why he hasn’t asked you out, but if you like him, start by doing things to show him your interested.
