+1 ySix years? Anon, after a few months, I can usually tell if a guy likes me or not. If it's been six years, I'm sorry to tell you, but you're definitely in the friendzone, lol.
If you really want to be sure, just ask him! Sounds obvious, but it's better than wasting your time on a guy that, well I'll be blunt, if he was interested, you would have known by now. Also, you said he tells you about other girls he's interested in: that's a blaring red flag a guy is not into you. Trust me, as someone with guy friends, a sign of trust/girl buddy zone is when they confide in you all their crushes and girls of interest- because they want your feedback on said girl.

569 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Yes!!! He could be afraid. But let's play the odds on this one. And they're probably something like 85:15 that he's not interested.
There's only one caveat, generally, and that's if the two people are already very close, clearly both like each other very much, and the one person doesn't say anything about them being in love, or having intense feelings for the other, because they know that it could potentially end the friendship. But, again, after 6 years, this is unlikely, and shouldn't be the go-to assumption.

Six years? Wow. That is an obscenely long time. He's not going to make a move. Six years is time enough to earn two college degrees, pay off a car, have two different careers, etc. I'm sorry, but he isn't interested. That ship not only sailed but completed its career and was scrapped.

Depends on the exact context, but if he has been available but still hasn’t made a move in 6 years, he probably isn’t interested.

Very safe to say.
Unless the guy is an extreme introvert who is even scared to put a foot outside his house, definitely he would let you know he is interested, in clear ways. And definitely within a month or two, not 6 years.
He is just a friend, being nice, friendly etc. I ultra-confirm with an overload of life experiences that a male and a female can be friends without interests in between.
Maybe what is strange is that he kept staying single for 6 years and that creates a bias where maybe there is nothing to read there.
However, someone might ask him at some point, to clear the doubts...00 Reply
+1 yNo guy I have ever known or even heard of would be interested in a woman if it's been 6 years and he hasn't made any kind of move. This is guaranteed if he is saying he thinks of her like a sister. The girl is 100% friend-zoned.

+1 yProbably has he ever showed a romantic interest or does he talk about other he is interested in with you some people are just meant to be friends.

Asker+1 yHe talks about others he's interested in
+1 ySheesh! I think a better question is, "Why would a girl be interested in a guy she's been talking to when he hasn't made a move in 6 years?"
10 Reply4.6K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. That is a long time for a guy not to make a move at all. He must be a very shy person. It is also possible he only thinks of you as a very good friend.
Tough to say

He's either not interested or too scared to take it a step further, In both case i think communication is the best way to know00 Reply921 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Depends what you're talking about.
Also, some guys just talk for the sake of talking, and expect the girl to make a move.
00 ReplyI don’t know, maybe wait another 6 years just to be sure?

+1 yIf after 6 YEARS you don't know if he likes you, he probably doesn't. As subtle as guys try to be about it, you'll know. They're not that secretive about it.

00 Reply 1.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Either that or he thinks you're not interested
10 ReplyMaybe you should ask him directly unless you've turned into friends and the friendship means so much to you. Then maybe it isn't worth losing said friendship.

Asker+1 yLike an option to date...
Asker+1 yLike as in she treats him as a dating option still despite the guy seeing her as a friend hence why he called her a sister
Asker+1 yI wish it was a troll question but my friend just keeps taking about as if she forgets that he see her as a sister...
Asker+1 yFor the last 6 years... she's never been married and she's 44

If a guy doesn't make a move in 4 years does that mean he's not into me?
