My boyfriend has low self asteem?

So yesterday we went to a coffee shop where he smoked weed
My cousin came to pick me up and he was nervous about her seeing me with him smoking
He said :"I dont want her to think badly about me"
I said:" look at me... am I pretty or ugly? am i smart or stupid? do you think i would dste a bad guy? tjink i would be with you if you were whatever guy who has no value?"
He kinda didn't know what to say
Is it ok I said it or was it too rude?

Yep lack of self confidence. Tell him there will always be people who like and dislike what we do, simple there is no way to be "good" in everyones eyes and its okey to let people dislike something. Its freedom of choice.
We just learn to be okey with it.

My advice to him is, if he is embarrassed about someone seeing him smoke weed, perhaps he shouldn't be doing it.

But he cares a lot a lot about what others think of him
He feels my cousin would think he is bad or something for smoking weed
I wanted to tell him im a smart girl and if i date him it means he is not that bad and smoking weed its not like he is a serial killer... ffs
