Why would a guy act like he was in love then over turn cold after an argument? As much as I love him I do not think I could take him back and that hurts

I was thinking I'm falling love with a guy and 30mins minute later I was like I'm totally done with him. People shows who really they are who not the people you think they were. You have no idea that you might triggered. What was the argument about?
