Not necessarily. Maybe he likes how he looks as-is (very valid, normal, and healthy), maybe he's too busy to go do all that or is coming straight from something else in his life.

As much as he likes the girl, the world doesn't revolve around her. He still has shit to do.

Depends on if he likes his hair rn, beard yeah you'd usually shave or trim no matter the party and maybe you'd put in a little extra effort in the outfit.
At the same time if he doesn't do all that (while still looking decent), but spends the party flirting, joking and all in all having a good time with this girl, I don't think she should pay too much attention to it

Not necessarily. We aren't as focused on our looks like women are (and most don't give a crap about guys lol). So it depends on the guy, but may or may not "mean" anything. Personally I'll clean up a bit, but I won't go overboard like buying new clothes, or anything like that. Like a woman might spend several hours on her appearance, we won't.

And in that situation especially, because it's not actually a date, but more just a social gathering, even if he likes you. We don't tend to care much about what others think of our appearance.
