Guys, When he reads , but doesn’t respond for a bit?

So I’m seeing this guy. He tends to read my message and then not respond for 20th Mins to an hour sometimes.

this isn’t a here and there thing.. it’s frequent and he does it all day!!! He’s super responsive to my texts and not just 1 word answers always … should I consider that maybe he’s doing what women do and is waiting to respond so he doesn’t look like he’s jumping for his phone when I text?

Several possibilities, I would suggest you asking him if it is bothering you. Direct and sincere communication is the key for real relationship, keep guessing will just create misunderstandings. Just say “I liked your thoughtful replies but curious why does it take you such a long time to reply every time”.

A few possibilities I can think of:

1) He was playing games with his friends (sports or video games), he got a few seconds to read your message but can’t reply until he finishes the game.

2) He is nervous and shy, want to make every reply perfect and takes a long time to draft it

3) He is playing mind game with you by making you wait. This can be a major red flag

4) He was with other girls and you weren’t the priority

5) He was bothered by you but eventually replied cause he didn’t want to hurt your feelings

You can see these possibilities lead to dramatically different conclusions, so stop guessing and ask him.

It means he is cautious, thoughtful, and probably a nice guy. Is he “OCD” like ⁉️

That is his nature. Some are risk takers and others are not. He is a cautious guy. Genetic and raising probably.
