He reads texts but isn't responding?

A friend has pretty much stopped responding to any text I send but reads them all. Any clue why guys do this?

Because he is not interested in engaging with you as much as you are trying to do with him. You can him your friend but I think your intentions are different and you’re trying to get something started. He may not want that and is trying to show as much by setting boundaries and not engaging.
