Is leaving me on delivered ghosting me?

So there’s a guy i had a little situation-ship with and well we are now friends and he has a girlfriend. Well I noticed if I text him he responds and we’ll talk throughout the day but at night he leaves me on delivered around 9-10 and it stays like that and we won’t talk again unless I reach out first

Isn’t there a 12 hour rule on delivered and no response. I have heard number of times. Especially just starting out there is 12 hour rule. My people say 16 hours is 👻 👻👻
