Today's society is kind of messed up cause you hear a lot of cuckhold, open relationships, or friends with benefits. So what would be today's traditional? The 1800's tradional was the guy works, and works on the farm with the 8 kids, she cooks and cleans all day for them all. The 1960's they both work and cleaned.
The way things are now it could mean that he's biologically male and she want her to be biologically female. Only half joking.
Generally it means he works and financially supports the family while she primarily takes care of the house and children. Not sure how realistic that is when cracker board houses cost close to $1M in many areas, but to each his own.

That sentence is said by ‘’insecure men’’ that wants to be with the woman who is dependant to him. A man who has a self confidence wants her wife/girlfriend has their own opinions, her own life, freedom and the same rights as the men have. If a man says that he wants a traditional relationship run quickly as you can.
It means they are idiots and are not going to be good husbands UNLESS you too want a "traditional relationship" in which the woman is subservient to the man.
The 50's are gone. What I want in the traditional sense is a girl who is focused on family. That might include home and cooking. I'd quite like a hostess quality for running friends and family dinners.
Most guys say it just mean they want a feminine woman who they can take care of, and most likely wants to be a stay at home wife.. I don't think they mean in the 1950s sort of sense.. I for one am okay with where ever she wants to be..
The guy is the sole breadwinner and the woman does all the house duties e. g. cooking, cleaning, ironing, etc.
I don't see a problem with it, if that's what a couple wants.

I'd say it means you get married and raise 2.5 kids together, most likely with the man taking primary responsibility for acquiring financial resources to support the family and the woman taking primary responsibility for the raising of said 2.5 kids.
I don't know. I don't even know what traditional relationship usually means. None in my view that usual. It could mean - I don't know, a lot of options. I would be asking him if I were you.
Never heard of it, but probably he means sex after marriage, turning the woman into housewife, he pays all their expenses for life and no cheating from either sides?
To have a home that you own and to avoid living in a shithole state in this country, you need two incomes or one really HUGE income. That means that all the 1950's traditional stuff won't work at all.
So your view of a traditional relationship is the bare minimum of ethical monogamy? That’s basically the definition of a romantic monogamous relationship, not a traditional relationship.
@KrakenAttackin@msc545 Really, wow, here I was thought I was a non-tradtional and typical woman by not being married and not having children. Turns out according to the two I am both traditional by being monogamous in my relationships and apparently unique as well. Good to know 😁
I haven't heard that term used, but I'd assume they mean a traditional exclusive relationship, nothing more. I wouldn't assume from that that he wants a housewife.
I think about it the same way you do, but it could also mean they want a normal relationship. Like be monogamous and love each other, and not just friends that fuck or who also fuck other people, etc.

Let's see what Betty Bowers, America's Best Christian, has to say about traditional aka "Bible-based" marriage...

They want a wife who is a homemaker/stay at home mom. These type of women are also seen as more feminine and supportive of a man's career.

You're submissive and dependent on them, they support and provide for you. Marriage and children are the goal, but he'll be the head of the household.

IMHO, a "traditional relationship" is one where the husband works, the wife stays at home, and they raise a family.
Thats old school relationship.
@Luopio27 then how would you define a traditional relationship?
I don’t understand why it needs to be any more complicated than that.
@Sixgunsound because relationships are more complicated than just traditional gender rolls.
Why do we make relationships complicated? They don't have to be. They can be very simple.
Complicating things helps give movements that outlived their purpose justification to continylue applying for grants.

Let's start with the woman not having alternate fuck buddy's, "guy friends", and a roster. Also, she has a basic grasp on the concept of monogamy.
So your view of a traditional relationship is the bare minimum of ethical monogamy? That’s basically the definition of a romantic monogamous relationship, not a traditional relationship.
@Subarugirl. My definition starts with monogamy, that is challenging enough for modern women these days.
I have come to believe that no woman is ever monogamous.
@msc545 Most are not for sure.

Men wear the pants.
Women belong in the kitchen.
That's stating it bluntly, but yes.
It means they want you to do what they tell you to do.
Depends. Some men have different meanings for the term. Some just want marriage. Others a housewife. And others subservience
