Guy I’m dating is being confusing and we keep falling out?

Basically to cut a long story short we’ve been dating for about 6 weeks now and have fell out a few times but we keep trying again.

The first time we met we slept together and kept doing it for a few weeks, after this he told me he can’t do casual and cut me off which confused me but I didn’t think too much into it as I wasn’t invested in him. A few days later he messaged me to tell me he’s made a massive mistake and we start meeting again.

Since we fell out we haven’t slept together and have been spending time together going out etc however I told him I want us to be friends and see what happens. After this he again withdrew which confused me and made me realise maybe I like him more than I’ll admit. While we have been in no contact I’ve kept bumping into him and I decided to unblock him.

Today we’ve spoken and I said I had been on a date with someone else, he kept saying to me oh you’ve got a hot date lined up why you upset for, told me he’s started talking to someone new, said he can’t do casual with me, said he didn’t think I was into him and that we need to talk properly about stuff.

Do you think he has feelings for me?

This is very simple and I'm going to explain to you what's really going on

1. Sense you slept w/ him the first time and kept having sex you did something (probably that you are omitting because it makes you look bad) that gave him the impression that you were for the streets.

2. He is horny one night and doesn't have a backup chicken so he hits you up and tells you what you want to hear.

3. You cut him off from casual sex so now he's frustrated because he let it go so he was hoping to play the friend role to get back in there.

4. He realizes he's not going to get laid by being your friend so he gives up and puts his attention elsewhere.

5. Like most woman you crave attention and when he removed it completely you became attracted to him again. You're bumbing into him because it's like when you buy a car and suddenly start seeing the same type of car all over the street.

6. My guess is both of you are lying about having "someone else" in the hopes take each other jealous. He dipped his toe in to see if you still liked him but quickly removed it once he realized he can't get you back to where you guys were at the beginning.

His feelings are contingent. My guess is he'll invite you on a non date. Let's hang w/ friends, etc or something of that effect.

Whether or not he has feelings for you is irrelevant. It's already been proved that you aren't working out multiple times. Move on.

I wouldn't expect person who is middle aged and still isn't a stable, permanent relationship to have enough sound logic to agree with me.

@LazerBean that is because you are too inexperienced to grasp the fact that men and women have completely different relatiomship metrics. A "permanent" relationship is something that validates you but has no value to me. My validation comes from the fact that I've been intimate w/ 100's of women which has provided me w/ a detailed perspective about them. Your advice is part of the reason why so many women are so miserable when it comes to relationships which as you proved is what is important to you guys. You don't understand that all that matters is how she "feels" about him, because women make decisions like this based on feeling. You provided a knee jerk response based on your own relationship failures and underlining hatred of men, which if she to follow would only lead her down your failed path.
