I ask for space because I was suffering from depression. He told me to focus on myself and getting healthy. Will he come back.

I’m going through something similar. I asked for space to isolate because I have depression and ptsd and he did just that. Now it’s awkward when we talk and I don’t know if our relationship will recover from this. He’s kind of put me on the back burner. But I also think he was taking it personally like it had something to do with him and it didn’t. No matter how much I try to explain to him he thinks I just didn’t want to be with him. Time will tell. He is still contacting me. Not as much as previously… says he wants to be here for me etc. but I just can’t help but feel the emotional distance. Good luck.

I know nothing about your relationship with this guy but if you don’t reach out to him then probably not. If a girl ends things with me then I respect that and don’t contact her again even if I still have feelings for her.

Probably not because he believes it's for the best. He can't love himself right now and can't understand how you could love him. And breaking his heart to break up with you.
