Should I keep trying with this guy?

I have been talking to this guy for months. We have never put a label on our “relationship” We text all day everyday and have seen each other a handful of times (we live 3 hours away). His job had him here for the summer and he’s going back home for the winter months. Our conversations have been really good. The other day he was asking me about kids… but he leaves next week and when I asked him if he wants some company before he leaves he said he would but he is busy packing and getting ready to leave. Does this mean the entire summer was a waste? Why would he give all these mixed signals?

You have to remember this about us guys: we can barely keep a thought together when looking into a girl's eyes... And, we are sure as hell are not mind readers. Short one line sentence..."are we boyfriend girlfriend or what". That's about it for one encounter... any other emotional garbage and screws will start flying out of his skull...

It sucks that you’ve let this go on for months without actually asking what he’s looking for right now. If i were you I’d specifically ask what his intentions are. You don’t want to waste any more time on him if you’re simply a space holder or someone he sees as casual but can’t date because of this or that. If he doesn’t want a relationship I’m sure it would be hurtful but you will recover quick from only 2-3 months (I’m only thinking of summer length).

Thank you! That’s what I was thinking just needed to hear it. I told him no worries and then he says back “I really wish I could see you before I go :(“ I mean.. if you wanted to, you would.

It sounds like he is not really interested if he didn't even want to see you before he left. nothing wrong he just dosent like you enough to even make it work. I suggest you move on
