Why are men easily offended?

He used to love me long back and i didn't reciprocate. It was a bad ending for him and we drifted apart. He now clearly hates me. So we bumped in and I told me 'hello' as I know him but he acts like we never met. He was blatantly ignoring me.

But now when he knows that I am seeing someone else, he got hurt.

I am not sure what the situation is.

I don't know if men are easily offended in general. Not sure that statement totally holds water. In the case that you describe in your post, he's hurt. That will cause any man to act in a way that looks offended when it's probably just his defense mechanism from being hurt.

I don’t know. It’s stupid. Someone not being attracted is nothing personal. Not everyone will like you like that.

But. You act like all men are like this.

Not all men are and there is women like this too. I don’t know why they’re like that.

He's hurt by the rejection. It's kind of sucky situation to be in. I wouldn't call that being offended, I'd call that being hurt.
