I would just ask if I saw her again. Seeing an old crush for the first time in 5-6 years is kind of a cool thing, but it’s not a big deal. There isn’t really any sort of urgency I would feel about reconnecting with her.

It was a high school crush. Also, people get weird about stuff like that. I knew a girl I had a crush on, and I was convinced she had a thing for me for the longest time (I didn’t want to date her for a variety of reasons). I finally asked her if she had a thing for me back in high school a decade after graduation and she responded by laughing and told me she liked a different guy. To be honest with you, I don’t know that I even believe her, but it is what it is; it’s in the past lol
