Guy I’m seeing blows hot and cold with affection?

What could this mean? Why does he text “Goodmorning 😘💕” sometimes but then other times he won’t even say Goodmorning but will continue the conversation from yesterday? He also still sends me stuff , he tags me in stuff and he even comments on all my relationship memes but is inconsistent with certain behaviors?

Inconsistent in what sense? I do not see the inconsistency or "hot and cold" behavior that you are worried about. Does he reply once in a week? Does he ghost you and come back when you are pulling away? You cannot always expect him to be affectionate or flirty every day. I understand why you are worried, but I see no reason why you should be pondering over this way too much. We all have things going on in our life. Sometimes it can be work stress, things going on in family, arguments with friends etc, so we cannot always be in a set mood.

From what I can decipher, you exchange messages almost every day and send memes often. I see two people who have developed a good rapport with each other. What's wrong with continuing with the previous day's conversation? I do that often. If it bothers you, I suggest you have a talk with him about this... or why don't you take the initiative and send him flirty messages to gauge his reaction? I bet he would appreciate it a lot. Most guys LOVE it when a woman takes the initiative. You do not always have to do that, but sometimes, it is OK to be the instigator.

I do overthink a lot and it kind of just bothers me that he knows I overthink but doesn’t keep consistency so I don’t overthink.

It's all based on the energy you share. Maybe something you did makes him uninterested? Are the conversations good? However be acknowledges you're there hence sending stuff for you.

Honestly I do feel like us roasting each other kind of negatively impacted us. He did start the roasting

Then that's the problem. Once there is something that negatively impacted you the energy will change. Recently the guy I'm seeing, I said something that hurt him out of a joke or roast and the energy is never the same after that. I regret it. So yeah maybe that's why
