My ex unblocked me and watched my story. why?

Today I noticed that my ex had watched my story on instagram but he previously had me blocked. He didn’t reach out or make any attempt to contact me or grab my attention. Some hours later I was scrolling through my story views and noticed that his name disappeared. I checked to see if I could still view his profile and found that he blocked me again. What’s the reason for this? Is he trying to keeps tabs on me?
