No, they aren't. What they are is ATTRACTIVE - hot - and you are picking them because they are physically attractive and for no other reason. But here's what you don't realize: if YOU find him attractive, it's almost guaranteed that lots of other women also find him very attractive, which means he has a ton of women who are available to him, and THAT means he can easily get everything he wants from a woman (or multiple women) without having to commit to any of them. And it's also very easy for him to dismiss one woman because he has an abundance of them available to him. This kind of thing will keep happening as long as you are chasing those highly-attractive, highly-desirable guys (that most other women also desire).

If you want to be treated right and have any chance of LONG-TERM relationship success, then you need to pick guys based on LONG-TERM COMPATIBILITY rather than on his looks or his money or his status. And, yeah, they're not going to be as attractive or exciting at the start - they'll just be MUCH better relationship partners on average.

Guys who are insecure will try to hurt you with insults etc if they think you will reject them. It's not genuine, you should remember this and not feel so hurt. You're attractive and deserve better

yes it's an asshole thing to say but objectively he's ain't wrong though. there's always someone out there better than you, me and everyone else unless you're the legit best man or best woman but even then they don't hold that title for long.
