That very much depends on the nature of your friendship.

In general, broadly speaking... looking at 'guys' as a whole... I would say the odds are high that the guy would hope for (and possibly try for) sex.

But, there are absolutely guys out there... who are genuine, solid, loyal, actual friends. Who would never think of trying to make things sexual, if he agrees to be your cuddle buddy.

Now if the guy SUGGESTS being the cuddle buddy, then he'd better be like your best goddamn friend in the world who you'd trust with your life... or he's probably hoping for sex.

But assuming you said something first about 'wishing you had a cuddle buddy' or something to that effect... then it depends on the nature of your friendship.

Also, there is a big difference between a guy 'hoping' for sex. And a guy 'expecting' sex.

Everything above pertains to a guy 'hoping' (and maybe trying) for sex.

But I don't think any half-decent guy would EXPECT that being your cuddle buddy would lead to sex. Any guy who does 'expect' sex from that... is a fucked up dude... and not really a friend. 🙂
