Guy friend said we are friends but ignore me now?

He told me he liked me but i thought we could be friends. Now he ignores me and when I try to ask him what do guys like for Christmas he ignores? Why don't guys want to be friends with a girl? He has female friends but ignores me.

I understand how you feel. And I am not excusing his behavior but explaining it. And this applies to everyone I think, not just guys.

When I someone has a crush on a you, it takes courage to tell you that he likes you in this way. He is making himself vulnerable to you because he has these "more-than-friends" feelings toward you.

When a guy (or girl) is vulnerable like this, it is very easy to be hurt. When you say that you just want to be friends, he takes that as a rejection, and it is painful. He may not want to see you because when he does it reminds him of what happened and it brings back the pain.

This is called rejection and it happens to us all. It's a fact of life. We all deal with it in our own way.

Sounds like you friend zoned him and that was a kick in the nuts because he likes you. Guys absolutely hate the friend zone with a girl they like so he's pissed and that's why he's acting the way he is.

Well if he likes you then he doesn’t really want to be your friend. Sure he has other female friends but he either doesn’t feel the same way about them as he does about you or he’s been friendzoned by them (maybe not each on but you get the picture) and is tired of that outcome.
